One of the great series in underground history, Denis Kitchen’s Bizarre Sex came out of the gate with a vengeance. The first story by Richard “Grass” Green is about brother/sister incest (“Incest”), and Daniel Clyne follows up with a three-pager about interracial homosexuality (“Dr. Lum Bago’s Creation”). Tim Boxell fills out most of the rest of the book, though Wendal Pugh also contributes “There’s 1 Born Every Minute.” Bizarre Sex #1 sold at least 75,000 copies over the course of nine printings and gets this acclaimed series off to a rollicking good start.
