Scott Shaw is one of those guys who can do a lot of things very well. He produced hundreds of TV commercials as the Senior Art Director at Ogilvy and Mather in L.A.; won four Emmies for his work on Jim Henson’s Muppet Babies TV show; worked as an inker, writer and penciller for Marvel Comics; and is an accomplished conductor of concert music. In the ’70s he produced a number of stories for underground comics and served as mastermind and editor for this book here.
Fear and Laughter is a parody of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson’s book Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas. In 14 short stories, we follow Dr. Hunter S. Toxin through a variety of drug-induced, profanity-laced adventures written and illustrated by an army of comic book pros. Funny stuff and well worth tracking down.
