Unlike many underground comics, there’s little information on Horny Stories & Comix. Script, Pencils, Inks & Letters are credited to Grass Green, th pen name of an artist who also went by Eric Dann, Oren Evers, Grass Hoppa, Richard “Grass” Green, Richard Eugene Green. Al Krapp Tand R. G. Wilerholt. This may have been an individual, several artists or an entire house going by one name. One reason for the lack of documentation is this title wasn’t from the classic golden age of underground comics, coming relatively late in the early ’90s.
And, like those great sex comics like Jiz, Snatch, Big Ass etc these havce plenty of tits and ass and hard core sex, they totally lack any style or panache, lacking an artist like R. Crumb. They are like a hard-core version of Mad in the ’90s after most of the classic artists and writers had gone, generic, unfunny jokes and a slick, non-personal drawing style. Still, there’s some worthwhile stuff here if you dig in.
