Last Gasp 1990-94
The raunchiest comic book in a field of raunch… one of Last Gasp’s top-selling titles. The infamous comic was created by John Howard in 1991 and has since established itself as a staple guilty pleasure for comics readers around the globe. There is no apology for HBS. Horney Biker Slut uses —even abuses —the art of cartooning, to tell outrageous stories of a strange world of she-males, big motorcycles and the baddest girls ever to deface the pages of a comic book. Includes art and stories by John Howard, D.B. Velveeda, and James Burchett.
It’s true that underground comics that had plenty of tits, ass and fucking sold better than those that did not. Armegeddon was included along with 5 other comics as All New Underground Comics but was the only one that merited 3 other issues: certainly not because of the art, which was horrendous, but probably because every page had naked women and there was plenty of fucking. Guy Colwell’s Doll went 8 issues (3 of them basically reprints of the others) using the same formula, as well as Omaha the Cat Dancer and of course Cherry Poptart, queen of the hardcore porn comics. Young Lust parlayed a pretty tame soft-core sex format into 2 decades of issues.
R. Crumb’s major appeal was plenty of tits and ass and his contemporaries followed suit. But the porniest title of all may have been Horny Biker Sluts, huge breasted and big assed women who got fucked with enormous cocks nearly every frame of every page. Not only that, there was plenty of lesbian sex, anal sex, blow jobs, pussy licking and double and triple penetration and nearly every stacked chick had a cock as well, or the ability to grow one. The comics even got into more perverse kink, like golden showers, water sports, preggo sex, cannibalism, extreme BDSM and snuff, necrophilia, pedophilia and coprophagia.
Although Horny Biker Sluts missed the golden age of underground comic books by 20 years, it built on the tradition of taboo, hardcore and fetish sex barely touched by previous titles. John Howard parlayed this depravity into 13 issues, plus 2 issues of She-Male Trouble. Here are all 15 issues in all their glory.
