After they have spent the night together Omaha tells Jerry how her opinion of Charlie has changed since she’s been in close contact with him. Jerry has to hide. Charlie is looking for Jerry; he knows the two were together the night before and surprisingly does not disapprove. He tells Jerry that he wants him to go to San Francisco to get Chuck. His behaviour is a little strange and Jerry later expresses concern about it to Huddle. Upon investigation, Huddle discovers that Charlie has thrown away essntial medication. With a doctor’s help he has Charlie sedated until the medication can be replaced.
