Doll is back in the hands of Waxman, but he lends her out occassionally for a good cause. Holger Heddrunn is an intellectual who is deeply confused about the nature of male-female relationships, caught in a morass of endlessly repeating circular logic with has completely neutralized his power to act. His doctor immediately thought there could be a theraputic application for Doll and Mr. Hedrunn could be a perfect subject.
After a long argument with himself over the submissive nature of women vis a vis modern society and mores (and a lot of fucking Doll) Hedrunn has a dream about the essence and meaning of masculinity. Meanwhile, his female neighbor, who is starved for sex and craves the release Hedrunn has found, tries to contruct her own surrogate lover but is unsuccessful.
Hedrunn continues pondering why obnoxious dominance is far more succefful at attracting and exciting women. He is dismayed that gental, loving and non-abusive qualities seem to be less appealing to women. Having failed to crack the mystery of the nature of masculinity vs. femininity and male-female attraction he calls Dr. Gladmount to return Doll and asks his horny neighbor if she’d like some tea. Doll resumes her pose with Evergood’s statue, home again.
