“Ring of Fear” – (16-page story) – A series of men, beginning with John Ruskin and then extending to each person who has in their possession a famous Aztec Ring, die. John Ruskin’s daughter is convinced that their deaths were caused by the ring, and she almost dies before she throws the ring away. It turns out that the ring they all possessed was a fake.
“Jonah” – (1-page story) – The story of James Bartley, a whaler who is swallowed alive by a whale and lives. He ends up almost blind, his hair gone and his skin turned white. He quits whaling and becomes a cobbler.
“Target: Earth” – (1-page text article) – An article about asteroids and their effects, or potential effects, upon the Earth.
“The Secret of Oak Island” – (1-page story) – The story of the unsuccessful search for buried treasure on Oak Island.
“Night Caller” – (12-page story) – Zilma is an evil witch doctor’s daughter. After the witch doctor stirs up evil spirits Zilma is attacked by some creature that no one gets a good look at. Pablo is in love with Zilma and wants to protect her. The witch doctor does not like Pablo, and tells her tribe that she has seen him bring illness to them in her dreams. Pablo and Zilma run away, but the witch doctor uses voodoo to make Zilma sick. Pablo throws a rock and asks for it to find the witch doctor and kill her. The witch doctor dies when she falls off of a cliff. No one knows if the stone knocked her off or if the creature did. Pablo becomes the new witch doctor of the tribe.
“The Man Who Lived Forever” – (1-page story) – The story of the Count of Saint-Germain, who is rumored to have lived over 2000 years.
