Growing out of an underground comic, Death Rattle’s second incarnation was this bimonthly title published by Kitchen Sink. Covering a surprisingly wide variety of subjects, a single issue might begin with the real-life account of Spaniards massacred by cannibalistic Indians following a shipwreck, go on to print a rare Will Eisner Spirit story, then conclude with an artist’s humorously crazed fantasy story of his own life.
