Slow Death #3 opens with a classic Richard Corben story, “A Dumb Story,” in which an idyllic culture compromises its values to gain technological advancements and lives (and dies) to regret it. This solid comic continues with disturbing post-apocalyptic tales until it ends with Larry Welz’s “The Sleeping Continent,” a terrific story with an ending we can only hope is prophetic.
